Connecting and Empowering Disabled Adults.
What is FLAG.
Our official name is 'Friendship Link & Action Group', although we use FLAG Bedford or just FLAG for short. We provide a safe and welcoming space for disabled adults in the Bedford area. Join us weekly for social activities and bi-monthly for events that promote confidence, independence and enjoyment.
FLAG is a user-led social group for adults with a physical or learning disability and or sensory impairment and their family, friends, carers and volunteers, who live in the Bedford Borough area.
Members can attend our weekly Drop-ins at Priory Methodist Church, to socialise with other members over a cup of tea or coffee with a cake or biscuit, have a chat or join in our various activities.
We also arrange bi-monthly Events and Outings in venues used by the wider community.
Mission Statement.
Our aim is to combat social isolation, boost confidence and promote independence for disabled adults in the Bedford area. We do this by organising a variety of free regular get-togethers and subsided events for which we provide transport and volunteer support.
We also provide a forum to ensure disabled access and rights are observed.
Empowering Lives in Bedford
FLAG Bedford is dedicated to providing a user-led social group for adults facing disabilities.
Our mission is to combat social isolation and enhance self-esteem.
We connect individuals with peers and volunteers to enrich their lives.
